An NBC News review of the FAA’s archived website from February of 2013 to the end of President Trump’s first term features a policy of diversity and inclusion in their hiring process.
After the exchange, the White House responded: “President Trump has long stood for the highest standards in air traffic control. In 2018, the Trump administration announced it would do away with an Obama-era test that punished skilled applicants.”

The FAA policy from 2013 remained unchanged through President Trump’s first term.
